So many trials and errors before i succeed in putting gba rom games in my psp. And double the hardships to make it work. Lots of patience runs in through me, especially I only relied on other users who shared their expertise in the process.
It is impossible to think that we can play gba games with a competing console just like the PSP. But, hey! Nothing is impossible now. Kudos to the hackers and programmers!
So, here are my steps to make your PSP more fun with gba games. An advice: “Patience is a virtue.”
First, you have to prepare everything. I mean download the files. At least now, I will share to you the sites that made my life easier. You need an emulator, ROMS(GBA games you want)and the gba_bios.bin.
Download the emulator here. Try to look for the ROMS you wanted to install in your psp. There are many sites all over the net. I recommend this site, where the roms are free (and working).
Now, download a program called gba_bios.bin. Just google it.
Unzip the emulator and the ROMS. For now, just save it in your desktop so you will just copy/paste afterwards.
Then, turn on your PSP USB connection. Make sure it is connected in your computer. Then, in your desktop, where you saved the files, open the emulator folder (UO_gpsp-kai…), then look for the mso folder. You will see another folder, open it, then another one, until you find the gpsp folder. Copy and paste it in your PSP’s GAME folder in the memory stick. You can see the GAME folder when you open the PSP folder.
NOw, copy the gba ROMS file that you downloaded and unzipped earlier. Then paste it in the ROM folder. You can see the ROM folder by opening the GAME folder, then open gpsp folder, then open GBA folder. All of which are already pasted in your memory stick.
Then now, copy the gba_bios.bin and paste it inside the gpsp folder. Now, try playing it in your PSP. It should be working properly now.
Enjoy playing.
